Message: A neighbor of his wonderful sister, Marilyn Fries Band, I had the pleasure of meeting David during several of his visits to her here in Fearrington Villege. After his marriage to Dorothy, they visited Marilyn often and I was delighted always to share in their company. It is with sadness to learn that David has died and I extend my sincere sympathy and condolences to Dorothy, family and friends.

Message: Dave and I were employees at UTC at about the same time. I remember his efforts to bring many outstanding scientists, including several Nobel laureates to UTC for seminars and technical sessions. I joined the CT Academy when it was founded by Dave, a difficult task that had failed in previous tries. He deserves a lot of credit for his commitments to science and technology. Peace to his family. Harvey Michels

Message: David Wetstone was a superb gentleman who had a lovely demeanor, listened to people, took in information thoughtfully, and made observations that contributed to interesting and meaningful conversations. He was interested in life and therefore that made him an interesting person, who one could appreciate spending time with over a glass of wine or dinner. I enjoyed bringing over a bottle of wine and listening to David opine on its' merits, grape types etc. He savored fine wines and food. David was always supportive of other's efforts to be scholars and he was one himself. He will be missed. A good man in the memory bank of many.
