I used to run into him in the hallways at the end of the day and we would either chat about patiens or nonmdeical issues. I haven't seen him in many years but remember being very fond of him. I thought he was a very good and caring physician. He was very personable and I always enjoyed his time. My are prayers are with him and his family. Daniel Fram

Message: I remember Scott as a great colleague during my days with Kaiser Permanente. He was our "go to guy" on not only renal and electrolyte issues, but on all issues that related to critical care. He was also a leader in the establishment of a "hospitalist" program for us, well before that term became popular. Most of all, I remember his and Nancy's wonderful hospitality inviting me to dinner at their home when I first moved to Hartford, ahead of my family. That welcome meant so much to me. I think of it very often. That gesture of reaching out has served me over the years as role model of how to make someone feel truly welcomed. Bob Laskowski
