Message: Dear Elaine and family, I am saddened to hear about the loss of your husband and father. Another life time member of Tikvoh is laid to rest. I am glad that I had the chance to see him once again back in July, 2012 when my mother passed and he came to make the Minyan...He was so cute when he walked in and said "Do you remember me? I am Wilbert Kaufmann, you may remember my son Marc from Tikvoh in hebrew school, and do you know I am 92 years old?" Sweet, soft spoken, tall, intelligent, warm hearted gentle man ...Mr. Kaufmann may you rest in peace and may your family find comfort in all the wonderful memories you have made with them through the years.

Message: I will so miss Wilbert even though I have not seen him in some time. He was one of my early bridge partners, always patient and encouraging me. Only his inability to keep driving to Meriden and my inability to drive to Hartford ended our bridge partnership. However, my affection for Wilbert remains for all time. To me, Wilbert always embodied the best of Jewish men, a real mensch, kind, unassuming and generous. My condolences to all family and friends.
