Message: I am so saddened to hear of Phyllis's passing. My sympathy goes out to all of her family. She will be missed. The last time I saw her was on Thanksgiving @ Confetti restaurant and I told her to come in for lunch so I could serve her the grilled cheese sandwich that she loved. She was always kind to ask me how my dogs were doing, and she never forgot the convertible that I once had. R.I.P. Phyllis!

Message: What a lovely, lovely tribute to your mom. I wish I could have heard that operatic voice in the kitchen. Her integrity and character seem inspirational. She must be looking down, nodding in satisfaction, to see how the achievement and kindness in the family continues. I will try to attend shiva tomorrow afternoon. I am so sorry for your loss, Becky Chase

Message: To our dear longtime friends in the Edelson and Edelson-Menchel families, please know that we shall hold your mom, Phyllis, as we hold your father, Irv, in our sweet memories that go back to Allan and Shereen's (and Larry and David's) childhood days at Beach Park ... extending through time and shared family friendships. I'll always cherish the sound of "Mrs. Edelson" singing beautifully over the melodic accompaniment of that Bissell sweeper. And recalling Phyllis' mom, Esther, bringing us, your West Walk neighbors, her home baked delectibles ... the best! So many memories to cherish. We'll hold ours along with yours, for they endure with love.
