Message: Dr. Saltzman was the greatest person I ever knew. Both my mother and I had great respect for him and I think he liked my wild ways until he told me to "be careful" He was always in my thoughts as he would scold me when needed but I could see the compassion and love he had for our family much as we for his. I will miss him but he is forever in our spirits. Much love to the family. Merilee

Message: My deepest sympathy to all of Dr. Saltzman's family. I can remember him so clearly as an intern and resident when I was in nursing school at NBGH. He not only cared for his patients but took the time to teach us when an opportunity arose. I'm sure you are all very proud of his accomplishments and will miss him. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Message: I was a student Nurse in 1955-58 At New Britain General Hospital. Whenever I was on duty and my patient was in trouble, I was always relieved that Dr. Saltzman was on call to help me. He was a wonderful teacher and a caring and brilliant Doctor. In later years he practiced in Plainville and my whole family was under his care. We became friends through the years, however I lost touch with him as we both became ill. My deepest sympathy goes out to you Sylvia and your family. You were always such a good wife and companion to Marvin. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Message: I was an orderly and then a Nursing Student at the then New Britain General Hospital.I knew Dr. Saltzman as an Intern and then as a Resident. As many young people do, I went through a bad time of it. Dr Saltzman had just opened his Practice, and he bacame my Doctor of choice. He quite literally saved my life and earned my unwavering trust. He was a man of great compassion who has and will have a place in my heart forever.
