Message: Dear Betty & Bonnie, I just learned of Steve's passing. Steve and I were friends for many years going back to when we first joined Suburban Swim Club. Steve and Jay would come up to Suburban on Sunday morning for softball. Steve was always very proud of Jay. I remember Steve's red Porche that he loved to drive. More recently, we would run into each other at Whole Foods during lunch and he would tell me about his pizza business. We are very sorry for your loss and wish you the best at this sad time.

Message: Yes, Steve did go out of his way for friends. I am one out of many of his friends that can attest to that fact. I remember the time I had a flat tire and Steve helped me out. He not only took me back to my car but also called all the necessary people for me that needed to be contacted Inorder for my car to be fixed. Steve loved cars. The last time we went out to dinner, all I had to do was say car and Steve was on a roll conversing about one of his favorite subjects......CARS

Message: Jay and Family, Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your father's obituary told me a lot of about the man that was your father, your children's grandfather and your mother's husband. Family is very important to me and I can tell it was very important to him. My own father passed away suddenly and it was not easy to endure for my family. Please know that your father has left behind a legacy that will continue on throughout the ages. Please let me know if there is anything you and your family need. Again, I will keep you and your family in my prayers and thoughts. Kindest regards, Lisa Vliet

Message: I met Steve in 1975 when I worked at the Aetna in personnel. I hired many data processing people from him as he always represented quality candidates. 5 years later he hired me as a recruiter and I stayed with him for 8 yrs, until he sold the business. When I met him he was driving a Corvette, but I told him to consider a Porsche which he did and ended up with a BMW as well, always the most pristine cars in town. I will miss having lunch with him as we did many times after he sold the Company. He was a great friend. Tom

Message: Betty, Bonnie, Jeffrey,Susan, Jay, Erica, Melissa, Lynne and Andy, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of my cousin Steven. Needless to say, I was shocked and saddened to hear about it. Mere words cannot express the admiration I had for him, both as a businessman and as a family man. He was one of the good guys. I will never forget him taking me in his porsche from Bonnie's house to his house to check on the dog due to an impending storm. We made a call from the car. That was unheard of back then. It was definitely very cool. Much love and hugs, Dale
