Message: We will always remember all the lovely cards and letters that Leah sent to us and how warmly she and Jack welcomed Lee and the rest of our family into their lives. It was a pleasure to have known her. May she rest in peace.

Message: Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Cousin Leah was very important to all of us and her weekly chats will be missed greatly. Over the years, distance never let us not be in touch and the good and sad news that your mom and I shared, along with Ronnie will always be treasured. Her letters were something we looked forward to until both of us found writing a little difficult. She lived a long and good life and we pray her peace will be a comfort for you all. We wish we could be with you but distance and health do not permit. We know you know how much we love your family and how strong the "Shapiro" women truly have been, and in Jewish tradition the next generations are strong also. Much love in your time of sorrow. Lovingly, Cousins Sylvia, Ronnie and Ilene
