Message: to gerda's family i address it this way because i felt it was the most appropiate. it was with deep sadness that i learned of GERDA'S passing.I knew her because my mother sylvia was a patient on 4 north until her passing on 1/2007 and at times they shared the same table in the dinning room although one of the thing that stand out in my mind was that gerda could not stand the food and used to keep food from crown in a refrigerator so she could eat better than the home provided. I found her to be an intelligent sometimes stubborn oppinionated person with whom i had some very interesting conversations with on different subjects , and along with seeing my mother talking to gerta made my day. There were times after i stopped visiting after my mom passed away that i missed talking to her and i regetted not being able to visit her but things seemed to interfear.I above all just wanted to express my deepest sympathies to you all .I know words don't fill the void but i just hope that knowing that others thought highly of her help. condolences to you all ken rome
