Message: I first met Harry when I joined the Hartford Mutual bowling league which met every Wednesday night in Bloomfield. I knew immediately he was "good people". I was the youngest member on our four man team, so Harry always referred to me as "the rookie". He was a big reason I continued with the Hartford Mutual for as many years as I did. Good night, bad night, or somewhere in the middle, Harry always brought a smile and a laugh to my face and my soul. I'll miss you Harry, and I'll always remember your greeting of "Hey Rookie". Rest in Peace.

Message: Dear Smiths, I was saddened to learn of Harry's passing. I have so many fond memories of all the Smiths from my childhood primarily at Beth Hillel Synagogue. Harry was always so kind to me and I'd look forward to seeing him in the sacred seats at the High Holiday services; the seats where you'd always find the Smith and Baggish families. More recently I enjoyed catching up at Ann's place when it was haircut time. I could visit with Harry while Ruthie was getting her hair done. My thoughts are with you all.

Message: Harry was a huge part of my life growing up as the father of one of my best friends and also as one of my first basketball coaches. He treated me like another son and I felt towards him as a second father. He will be missed greatly.

Message: My Uncle Harry is gone and our family will never be the same without him. Being Nate and Harriet's youngest daughter I always treasured the times when Uncle Harry, Aunt Ruthie and all the cousins would come to visit us at our home in Port Jefferson. It was always a wonderful time when the family got together. We shared so many laughs with our funny Uncle Harry. As I got older and started a family of my own he always made sure that my children and I were included in every family get together. For that I am forever grateful. I will miss him more than words can express. Rest in peace Uncle Harry. I love you. Your loving niece Karen.
