Message: I was a young child, just starting Hebrew School at Emmanuel, when Dr. Weisel moved 2 doors from us on Oakland Terr. We were in awe of this scholar, but he always had a kind word for us. I haven't lived in Hartford since 1956, but the memories are still vivid and happy. My best to the family of this great man. nw

Message: In 1959, As a young woman of 19, I took a job on Sunday mornings at the religious school for Mr. Weisel. It was one of my most enjoyable working experiences which is why I stayed for several years. He was always polite and courteous to me, always taking time to explain my tasks and to compliment me on a job well done each week. Throughout the years, I have occasionally had the pleasure of reconnecting with him. A gem of a man. My sympathies to you, his family, on your loss.
