Message: DeeDee was always in the picture of my years as a kid growing up in New Britain. Cub Scouts, car pools, Taine Mountain Swim Club, visiting Bob and David inside and around the Goldstein House on Dorset Rd. I know she was a great mother to you and I have wonderful memories of her. Steve

Message: As a child growing up with Bob as a best friend, I was often in and around the Goldstein home, and appreciated Deedee's care and concern for the friends of both of her sons. She was concerned, and inclusive, and was a gracious "Mother Hen" to the neighborhood kids, participating in leading the Scout Pack, carpools, taking us on ski trips, shuttling us to swimming, an so on. Her passing underlines the end of that childhood era in the simpler times of the 50's and 60's when you could ride your bike all day (without a helmet) or go off hiking in the woods, and adults had little concern for their child's safety. Deedee gave us confidence and assurance that it was alright to explore nature and our environs. My heartfelt condolences go out to Bob and Davis and their families.

Message: Deedee was a very special person who adopted the Richmond community and worked tirelessly on its behalf, through Hadassah and its outreach education program for breast cancer and through other community programs as well. She never said "no" when asked to do something and with that wonderful sense of humor made all of our lives better. We will surely miss her. With our deepest sympathy, Jeff and Bobbi Levin
