Message: Dearest Karen: Today/this week is Sister's Day and/or National Girlfriend's Day. You have been a wonderful sister and girlfriend to me these many years as single moms. I know how much loved your children and always put them first. I hope you now know how much you were loved by those who truly loved you. I miss you already, my dear friend. You will be greatly missed. G-d bless you now and always. Love, Darryl

Message: I was a childhood friend of Karen's. We were backyard neighbors and shared many happy times together. Although we were not close as adults due to time and distance, I have very fond memories of Karen and will always keep those memories close to my heart. Please accept my deepest condolences. Message: I did not know Karen very well, but I met her at Jazzercise class several years ago while she was going to school. She was a tremendous friend to my good friend, Darryl Swain Haberern, as she went out of her way to help Darryl when she was ill. I was impressed by Karen's bravery and advocacy for her friend in need. Karen had a nice smile too.

Message: I remember meeting Karen just over a year ago when she came to see my band. She was with Darryl that night and we got to chat. Thereafter I'd see her around Collinsville, we's socialize and talk about family issues etc-as I was recently divorced and we shared common experiences. It turned out that we went to the same high school together(Hall). Karen impressed me by her drive and commitment to the things and people she loved and to the causes she supported. While I knew her but a short time, she had a positive influence on my life and the issues that confronted me. I'm glad we had the opportunity to share some time together.

Message: Karen was a new friend- with whom I shared many friends in common. From the beginning it was obvious that Karen was a very loving and caring person. Immediately supportive and concerned for me during my trying pregnancy and so excited for the baby I was having- sadly whom she was never able to meet. I feel I have lost out on knowing her better. What if is always a question we ask when someone is taken from us before their time. Then again, I have to think that maybe it WAS her time. She was so unhappy and always seemingly just out of reach of the fulfillment she craved. I am sad for those she has left behind, but I am also comforted in knowing that somewhere beyond this life, she may finally find peace and contentment. With Love and Friendship, Jessica Fazio
