Message: Dearest kids, Barbara was my school-mate, my teacher, and my friend. From leading political protest marches to creating fabulous dinner parties, she made it all look easy, giving with both golden hands. She loved you kids unstintingly and was proud of you every day of her life. I miss her being in the world, but I am glad her suffering has come to an end. I thank Robert for making her last years as happy as her first. May her memory be for a blessing for you forever, Judith

Message: Dear Children: Your mother will always be for me a beautiful fifteen year old girl who adored her big brother; then a gorgeous bride beaming at her beloved Jack; and most of all a loving woman who was very proud of each of her special children. Please hold each other close and know how many of us are sending you thoughts of love now and in the days ahead. Aunt Bretta

Message: If the glass is half empty, it's because it's so sad that she's not here, bubbling over with laughter, relishing every moment. If the glass is half full, it's because we're all so lucky to have had her -- for a mother, a wife, a grandma, an aunt, a friend and a sister. If the glass is totally full, it's because Barbara, the peerless hostess, filled it up. So much love to you all from Aunt Judy
