Message: Dear Pam and family, A truly warm and gentle man has been taken from us and I am deeply saddened that I have to reconcile that loss. I have such fond memories of time spent with Bill. The celebration of his birthday at Apricots restaurant, being entertained at his home as he demonstrated his extraordinary culinary skills, the countless hours of tennis where I was so envious of his great back hand all stand out as signature moments in my relationship with Bill. I know that Bill adored his wife Pam and his girls, Laura and Sarah as he spoke of them often. An author named Leo Rosten wrote that "The purpose of life is to matter, to count, to stand for something, to have had it make some difference that we lived at all." There is no doubt that Bill did matter, he did count, he did stand for something and the fact that he lived made an extraordinary difference to all who came under the sunshine of his life. Please accept my condolences at the loss of your husband and your Dad. Cordially, Tom Walsh and wife Sue
