Message: I,of course, remember you and your mom (and dad) from the Garden Street days in Hartford through the Trout Brook Drive days in West Hartford as warm, gracious people around whom it always felt good. I vividly remember your mom as a vibrant presence, always smiling and welcoming, and always ready to grace us with a song with that powerful voice of hers. Even as a young kid, when she sang, I sensed the joy and love she had for it. She, and dad, were "24 caret gold folks," both "mensches," the kind of solid, genuine, honest, good-natured souls whose present day counterparts are all too rare. The friendship my parents, Phil and Sylvia, had for them was a precious and important gift. They never had anything but great things to say about both of them. You were blessed to have had mom for so long, yet the bittersweet nature of her passing is, Im sure, painful. My sincere condolescences, Mark Kaplan

Message: I have vivid memories of your mom as a vicacious, gracious, warm-hearted person around whom I always felt welcomed. Also, I remember the joy and energy she exuded when she broke into a song -- what a powerful voice she had! I am also grateful for the precious friendship she and dad had with my parents. Fran, you were, to say the least, a bright and special star. Rest in peace. Mark Kaplan
