Message: We shared a birthday and without Dr. Passman delivering me I would not be here today. I still remember my mom saying Dr. Passman said the only thing please don't do is call him on his birthday but she had to anyways and he still came in and delivered me. One big thanks to him being there for me from day 1 of my life.

Message: To the family of doctor Passman, I was a patient of Dr. Passman for at least 30 years. He also performed surgery on my daughter. One memory I will always have is when I worked near Mountain Road in West Hartford and we would wave to each other when he was on his daily morning walk. (I was a bit let down when he told me he waved to eveyone). His caring manner extended beyond a yearly OB/GYN visit to my general overall being and he always had the time to sit and listen. If he ever questioned his success, there was no need because his reputation among peers and patients was unquestionable. He will be sorely missed by many. My condolences to you at this painful time.

Message: Dr.Passman delivered our beautiful daughter, Christine in the early hours of May 28, 1989. Christine is now 20 years old and a junior in college. During my annual GYN physicals, I would remind Dr. Passman that while I was in labor at Mt. Sinai Hospital(yet not "ready" for delivery), he politely excused himself to take his beloved wife out to dinner for their wedding anniversary! He returned from his "date" on time to deliver Christine via C-section. Also, I would never hesitate to tell Dr. Passman that he was "timeless;" a handsome gentleman and an extraordinary OB/GYN who never changed in looks or demeanor and whom I'll deeply miss seeing in the upcoming years. My sincere condolences to his family whom he often mentioned in conversation with me and whom he was so proud of.

Even though I have lived out of state for years I continued to use Dr. Passman as my doctor. I will remember him as a very caring doctor. He delivered my second daughter in 1993. Please accept my sympathies. He will be greatly missed.

Message: I was saddened to read of the passing of Dr. Passman. I became a patient of his when I was 15 years old ( I am 50 something now). I lived in Bloomfield and worked at the Marshall's store there. One day Dr passman came in and I helped him pick a pair of jeans. Whenever I was in the office after that he would tell everyone that I sold him his first pair of jeans (I never really beleived that). I referred many friends to this wonderful man. My condolences to bis family.

Message: To the family of Dr. Passman. I was fortunate to find Dr Passman in 1970 when I first moved to CT and was expecting my first child. He was such a source of comfort and reassurance to me over the years with his gentle and caring demeanor and his competent professionalism. In an age of much fragmentation in medical service, I consider myself blessed indeed to have been the recipient of his enduring and special brand of medical practice. He was a holistic physician before it became fashionable, always inqiring about all aspects of his patients lives and their families, etc. I considered him a valued friend as well as my physician, and will keenly miss him. My deepest sympathies to his wife, children and grandchildren, and to all who loved him. He surely made the world a better place. Marilyn Shirley

Message: I want to offer my sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your husband and father. I was sad to read about his passing. He was a special part of my life. Dr. Passman was my obstetrician since 1967. I first went to him for fertility problems. With his expert help, I had three beautiful daughters. He was my obstetician through the years and I felt like he was a friend. He always had time to talk and I felt I could talk to him about anything. We would talk about family and it was obvious that he loved his family. My husband liked him and felt comfortable talking to him also. I sent my daughters to him and they were his patients until they moved out of state. I haven't seen him in the past couple of years since my hysterectomy, but he will be missed. He was a wonderful doctor, with all the qualities a person wants in her doctor amd a friend. Vivian Latella
