Message: What can I say? I have so many dear, fond memories of Rabbi Cohen. He was a big influence in my life- from Hebrew School at Beth David Synagogue to walking home from shul with him and the other teenagers on Shabbat, to his officiating at our wedding, to the continued friendship and phone conversations over the years. He was a wonderul man, a wonderful and inspiring rabbi, and will be missed.

Message: I am in disbelief. I thought Rabbi would be here forever. He and Aunt Miriam were my parents best friends for life. I used to refer to him when I was a child as my uncle Rabbi because our families were so intertwined. Devra and I grew up together as dear friends with our brothers David and Alan. Rabbi performed by Bat Mitzvah, I can still remember standing on the pulpit listening to his charge to me. He performed our marriage and officiated at Rachel and Amy's Bat Mitzvot. He married Amy and Henry along with Rabbi Adler. We just spoke on Rosh Hashonah about his upcoming "90th" birthday. Devra and David, your loss is so great but it is also a huge loss for our Jewish community and all that loved and respected him. Marge and Bill

Message: Rabbi Cohen was my teacher for my Bar Mitzvah at Beth David Synagogue. That was 60 years ago. What a wonderful roll model. Intelligent and thoughtful and of course, at the time, strict (so I thought.)A Rabbis' Rabbi. My deepest heartfelt condolences to his family and to the community. I'm certain that he will be missed. Thank you for the opportunity to express these thoughts. Joel L. Salberg (Yusel Labe ben Avrum Yitzhak)
