Message: My two daughters, Sammi and Ally and I were lucky enough to have a very nice visit with my uncle Louis this past summer. While we were there, he was telling us stories about his musical past. My daughter, Ally, now in highschool, also plays the clarinet, and will forever persue the legacy of my uncle. Sammi, who plays the trumpet was also inspired with Louis's stories of marching in the band and of Savannah, GA. We will miss him!!

Message: Betty - Many years have passed since I've seen you and Lou but that hasn't dimmed my fond and happy memories of Lou and how he kept me "in line" while working at Cripps. I was attending Trinity and my father had died when I was 16. I worked 3 or 4 days a week throughout college. Lou provided me with a great deal of guidance and support at a time I needed it. I will be forever greatful and thinking of the two of you brings a smile to my face. with love - dick shechtman
