Message: Dear Francine, I am so very sorry to hear that your mom has passed away. She was really such a favorite of mine and so much a lady as well. I recall that no matter when I would see her, she always had a warm and genuine smile for me and it just always felt so good to chat with her for a few moments or to just sit quietly beside her. I know how much you will miss her and I am sorry for the pain and grief you will feel but hopefully the very wonderful memories of her and your special times together will be a source of comfort for you forever. You will be in my thoughts tomorrow and I will pray that your pain eases a bit each day. Fondly, Cheryl Sowalsky

Message: About 20 years ago I was working for the GHJCC working with the "New Americans." Your mother assisted me on a regular basis for many years. She had wonderful people skills. She had patience and empathy. She always knew the right thing to say and do. I enjoyed working with her immensely. She had so much energy, I was never aware of her age. I'm sure you have many wonderful memories of a very special lady. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Carol Novick

Message: Dear Francine whom I know well, Hattie a friend from our Catskill trips and Barbara, I have known your Mom for a very long time at the JCC and Beth EL. I have the greatest admiration for this wonderful woman. I well remember our trip to Italy with Anna and her friend Lucy. She was so enthusiastic and interested. I remember that she asked me if she could bring a box of apricots on the trip to help with natural functions. I also remember the phone she had so that you girls could be assured of her well being during the trip. I admird her Torah readings at Beth El for so long. I loved her English for new Americans group. I loved her lists that she kept of trips to remember things of importance, Howie and I regret that our attempt to see her a couple of weeks ago was unsuccessful but maybe it is better to remember the way she was. How lucky you were to have had this wonderfuk woman in your lives for so long!! Howie and I are in Hawaii for the Amer. Dental Ass'n meeting or you can be sure we would be with you. Our hearts are with you. Most sincerely, Sheila and Howie Mark
