Message: The news of Phil's passing stunned me and only because of a long-planned visit from our son this weekend keeps me from flying into Connecticut. I have wonderful memories of Phil. I remember, about 1955, my father and he reclining on two sofas in his house on Plainfield Street watching a Red Sox - Yankees game on television and screaming at each other as they were rooting for different teams. I shall never forget, which really makes me feel guilty about not coming for the services, how he, Ros, and Harold came to our son's Bar Mizvah to represent my father who died just a few months earlier. But mostly I remember Phil driving Harold and me to Keney Park when we were children, joking with us while complaining about being President and CEO of the Harold Levy/Jeffrey Chesky chauffeuring service. He was one of my favorite cousins and I wished I had seen him more often. My condolences to Ros, Harold, Michael, and Donald. Cousin Jeffrey

Message: I met Phil Levy many years ago and he was my kind of person. He and I had many things in common.I would stop down to Lipman Motors to chat with him on many occasions. We both loved sports. After knowing Phil for a while, I was fortunate to meet his grandneice, marry her, and become part of Phil's extended family. It has been a true honor to be part of the Levy family. To all the ones I had personal contact with; to Syd (grandmother in-law), to Abbie and Ruthie, to Nancy, to Phil and Roz,to Francis (my mother-in-law) and Con,to Sherwin and Gail,to Harold and Judy, and to Robert and Diane; all who have enriched my own life with their zest for life. Pam and I will miss Phil. He was a good husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him. He brought love and laughter into this world. Our condolences to his immediate family.
