Message: Irv, Stephen, Richard and Marc, I was so saddend to hear the news about Belle. She is so vivd in my memories of carlyle rd.I will never forget the many times she took care of me when I was sick and my mother had to work. Those were the best days going across the street to "Belles." I got to eat anything and watch the soap operas with her.She used to call me her second daughter and she really made me feel that way.For so many years our families shared so many things including all the new additions. Belle always treated my children just like her own grandchildren and she always believed that if she bought for one she needed to buy for all. Belle was also so wonderful to my mother especially after my father died. She continued to include her as much as she could. Belle kept her promise to me to watch out for my mother and she did. Although our roads have turned many corners please know that your wife and mother really was a huge part of my life and will always be remembered in my heart.I truly loved her. Lori Lynn

No matter what the occasion; birthdays, Halloween, holidays, my kids could always count on a big bag of candy from Belle. Now,that's something you never forget! Thanks for everything you gave all of us, Belle. What a fantastic neighbor. We love you. -Tom and family

Message: Irv,Stephen,"Rickey", and Marc, We were so saddened to hear of the news of Belle. It brought back of flood of wonderful memories. Your wife and mother was like a sister to me and a second mom to Mary Ellen. We shared so many memories together: our family vacation at Middle Beach, Rickey and Mary Ellen's L & M Store, Belle hiding Mary Ellen in her pantry after Mary Ellen and Rickey through a hammmer through the downstairs window (by mistake), Rose's potato pancakes... just to name a few. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief. Love, Eleanor & Mary Ellen

Message: I am a friend of Steve and Anna's, and whenever Steve's parents came to Victoria for a visit, we would be invited over to have a meal with them. I took to Belle immediately, recognizing a kindred spirit. She was funny and bright, generous and warm, and downright great company. She was a real haimische person.I loved the stories she told, especially the ones about Steve as a little boy! It was a pleasure to see the wonderful relationship she had with her husband. Whenever she called Steve, she always sent along regards to us. I always looked forward to her visits. I really loved her and am so sad that she has gone. I send warm hugs to all the family to help get you through this hard time. Susan-Rose Slatkoff
